How to Play Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Vol. II
Quick start
Start a new investigation on Disc 1 (CD A) and press Start at the title screen. Move the pipe cursor to a case and press A; watch its introduction and consult the first useful lead. Insert Disc 2 (CD B) only when the game asks for it.
Controls
Use the D-pad to select cases, contacts and reference entries. Confirm to inspect or visit, use the available video controls during testimony and return to the investigation menu when you want to compare another lead.

Volume II keeps the first game's investigative structure while introducing three separate mysteries. Conversations provide statements to compare with documents and details found through further visits. The player chooses which leads deserve attention, then builds an explanation from the information gathered rather than winning a reflex challenge. Reading the London newspaper and recognising connections between apparently unrelated incidents are part of the detective work, with each case standing on its own evidence.
