How to Play SimEarth: The Living Planet
Quick start
Choose an available planet or scenario and inspect its information screens before changing it. Adjust one environmental factor at a time, then let the simulation advance so that you can see its effect on climate or life.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move the cursor and select tools, map views or information panels. Confirm to apply an available intervention or open a setting. Use the simulation's time controls to observe changes before spending more resources.
SimEarth: The Living Planet — About this game
SimEarth treats a planet as a connected system rather than a collection of streets to build. Atmosphere, terrain, temperature and life influence one another, and an intervention can have consequences beyond its immediate target. Living things develop within those conditions, with intelligent life forming only one possible stage of the simulation. Managing the world is therefore an experiment in relationships: make a change, watch the planet respond and decide whether to intervene again.
