How to Play StarBlade
Quick start
Begin the opening sortie and practise tracking one target across the view. Fire once the sight is aligned, then move to the next threat instead of following an enemy that has already passed out of danger.
Controls
D-pad moves the gun sight; use the configured fire control to shoot. The flight route advances automatically, so aim at the target rather than trying to steer the craft.
StarBlade — About this game
StarBlade puts the player at the gunner's station of the GeoSword while the flight carries the craft through a sequence of enemy formations and installations. The immediate challenge is aiming accurately as targets cross a moving view, then reacting when the scale of an encounter shifts from small craft to a much larger structure. It is a directed shooting ride rather than free-flight exploration. The Mega-CD version should be approached on its own terms, without importing enhanced visual modes from later console versions.
