How to Play Seiken Psycho Caliber: Majū no Mori Densetsu
Quick start
When you start the game, use the cross keys to move in four directions, and press A to swing your sword in the direction you are facing. Defeat enemies and collect red and blue drops, bread, and blue chips. Switch to the status screen with START, use the cross keys to move the cursor to your inventory, and press A to equip tools for the B button. On the same screen, select Sword Force and Fairy with A. When you return to the field, press B to use the equipped tool. Food will decrease automatically, so don't get too lost and proceed while checking new passages and key locations.
Controls
Field: Move up/down/left/right using the cross keys. Swing your sword in the direction you are currently facing with the A button. Use the tool equipped in the status frame on the far right with the B button. Switch between action screen and status screen with START. Pause play with SELECT. Status screen: Move the cursor using the cross keys. Hover over a tool, sword force, or rescued fairy and press A to equip or summon it.

"Sacred Sword Psycho Calibur: Legend of the Forest of Demons" is an action RPG for FDS that explores a top-down field. The main character advances through nine areas such as forests and caves, fighting monsters with a sword while growing his life force with red drops and the force of his sword with blue drops. Bread is a resource similar to the remaining time for exploration, as it is consumed over time and restores health at regular intervals. Open the status screen with START, and select the tools used in B, the force in the sword, and the rescued fairies Pipi and Popo. Fairies temporarily grant you the power to fire projectiles from your sword, and the power to consume bread faster and heal faster. Collect keys and equipment from all over the place, advance deep into the forest of monsters while solving mysteries, and complete the power of the lost holy sword.
