How to Play Sekai no Shougi
Quick start
Pick one board game, read its piece guide and try a normal match or puzzle. Confirm the selected rules before making the first move and review the resulting position.
Controls
Select a piece and a permitted destination using the DS board interface. Follow each ruleset's prompts for promotions, captures or special moves; local opponent options depend on the original DS mode.
Sekai no Shougi — About this game
Choose Japanese shogi, Western chess, Chinese xiangqi, Korean janggi or Thai makruk from one DS collection. Each game has its own piece movement and rules, so begin with the explanation rather than applying familiar shogi moves to every board. Normal matches, puzzle positions and game-record study offer different ways to practise. Play a short match in one ruleset and inspect why a move is legal before switching traditions. The original DS supports local wireless and Download Play for two, as well as alternating turns on one system.
