How to Play Serious Sam
Quick start
Press START and choose the single-player game to begin in ancient Egypt. Move through the first enclosed rooms, collect ammunition and health, and eliminate each triggered wave before searching for the next door, key or exit. Strafe with L/R while firing rather than standing still; explosive kamikazes should be shot at a distance or beside other monsters so their blast clears the group. Write down the password shown after a level, because the cartridge uses passwords instead of a battery save.
Controls
D-Pad Up/Down moves forward/back; Left/Right turns and aims. L/R strafes left/right and provides finer combat alignment. A fires; hold A for continuous fire with automatic weapons. Tap B to switch weapons; hold B while using the D-Pad for slower precision aiming. Close enemies can be auto-targeted. The available GBA-specific sources do not reliably state SELECT or the pause-button assignment, so follow the on-screen menu prompt rather than assuming one.
