How to Play Sesame Street: Countdown

Quick start

Use the D-pad outside the castle to choose Hop for beginners or Run for more experienced players, then press A or B. Under the Number Wheel, press A or B to spin it and press again to jump up and choose the Number of the Day. Look for that numeral or a matching group of objects. Move underneath and press A or B to jump up and collect it. Fill the Lightning Box before leaving the world at the right-hand arrow.

Controls

Left/Right: move the Count in either mode. In Run mode, Up/Down climb suitable surfaces. A or B: confirm the mode, operate the Number Wheel and jump to collect a numeral, group or bonus object. In Run mode, combine Left/Right with A or B to jump sideways. START or SELECT: trigger lightning and the Count's speech; these are not pause controls. Bonus activities: jump into boxes, containers or equation numbers to change them, then jump into the bell to submit the answer.

Sesame Street: Countdown — About this game

Sesame Street: Countdown turns number recognition into an adventure with the Count. Before each world, choose a Number of the Day, then collect matching numerals or groups containing that many objects. Correct answers fill the Lightning Box; mistakes remove bats from the Bat Box. Later worlds ask for more correct matches and allow fewer errors. Hop mode simplifies movement for beginners, while Run mode adds freer movement and climbing. Bonus balloons lead to activities involving hidden numbers, moving objects between containers or changing an equation to match the target. The Count's spoken encouragement accompanies the journey through all eight worlds.
