How to Play Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children - Messiah Riser
Quick start
Press START at the title and choose New Game. The shared tutorial runs through Fandal Village, the Tower of Time, more village missions, Juda Grassland, and the Secret Base. Select a demon, choose Move, Attack, Magic, or Call, then designate a target while the mission keeps running in real time. After Secret Base (1), choose Jin or Akira; Jin travels with Lena, while Akira travels with Ami. Keep the party together at first, collect Energy, and protect the partner demon because losing that partner's HP ends the mission.
Controls
On mission maps, use the D-pad to choose commands, move the cursor, and change information displays. L/R switches the commanded demon; A confirms and advances dialogue, and holding A issues group movement. B cancels, while SELECT toggles the radar. On the world map, use the D-pad to choose, A to confirm, B to cancel, and L/R to turn pages in the demon list.
