How to Play Shin Satomi Hakkenden: Hikari to Yami no Tatakai
Quick start
Press START on the title, select an empty scroll from "Every Time" and press A. Choose a ball with left and right, and choose the main character with A. Enter a name of up to four characters using the D-pad and A and set out on your journey. First, equip the weapon you have by clicking "Use" and check its status by clicking "View" → "Power". Earn experience and lodging expenses near the town, and return to the inn as soon as your stamina decreases. At the castle, you can listen to the experience necessary for your next growth, and you can save your progress with "Tabino Kiroku".
Controls
D-pad: Movement, menu selection. A: Open a command window, determine instructions and tools. B: Close window, cancel selection, cancel automatic battle. START: Start from the title. In the list of tools and spells, switch between allies using the left and right buttons. ``Hanasu'' is a conversation, and ``miru'' → ``ashimoto'' is a command to check your feet. In manual battles, choose ``fight'', ``defeat'', ``use'', or ``jumon'' depending on the situation.

"Shin Satomi Hakkenden: Battle of Light and Darkness" is a Japanese-style role-playing game in which characters from Hakkenden take on the threat of monsters. When you first choose one of the following: Jin, Righteousness, Respect, Wisdom, Loyalty, Faith, Filiality, and Tei, the journey begins from a different location with the corresponding Hakkenshi as the main character. The main goal is to collect the eight dog warriors of light and gather them to Shizuhime by repeatedly asking questions in towns and villages, saving the seven people who were separated. Along the way, they prepare weapons and armor, gain experience in battle, and use spells and tools for each character. There is a choice between automatic and manual combat, and if things get dangerous, you can cancel automatic combat and switch to recovery. In addition to gathering eight people, let's also find the items necessary for a decisive battle against darkness.
