How to Play Shougi 2
Quick start
Choose ordinary shogi and its one-player option, then a lower computer level. Move the cursor to a piece, press A to pick it up and choose a legal destination before pressing A again.
Controls
The D-pad moves the cursor; A picks up or places a piece. B returns a held piece, or moves to the captured-piece stand when nothing is held. SELECT interrupts computer thinking to request a move; it is not a general pause button.

Shougi 2 — Begin with ordinary shogi and a low computer level to learn how selecting a piece differs from placing it. Captured pieces remain useful because they can return to the board as drops. The puzzle collection offers focused practice away from a complete match, and mystery shogi changes what you can see rather than merely making the same opponent faster.
