How to Play Silk Worm

Quick start

Use SELECT on the opening screen to choose your vehicle, then press START. For a first helicopter run, practice moving with the Control Pad while holding B to fire; use A to direct fire toward ground targets. If you choose the jeep, use Left/Right to move, Up/Down to rotate the cannon and A to jump. Watch bosses for the white flashes that show a hit on their weak spot. In two-player play, controller 1 operates the helicopter and controller 2 operates the jeep.

Controls

Helicopter: Control Pad moves in eight directions; A angles fire downward; B fires, with continuous fire while held. Jeep: Left/Right moves; Up rotates the cannon counter-clockwise and Down rotates it clockwise; A jumps; B fires and can be held. SELECT chooses the opening vehicle option and Yes/No on the continue screen. START begins play and toggles pause. Solo play uses controller 1 for either chosen vehicle; co-op assigns the helicopter to controller 1 and the jeep to controller 2.

Silk Worm — About this game

Silkworm sends a helicopter and an interceptor jeep against an artificial intelligence that has turned military hardware on its creators. You can take either vehicle into a solo game or split the roles with a second player, covering threats in the air and on the ground. The helicopter moves freely and can angle its fire downward; the jeep stays on the ground, jumps obstacles and rotates its cannon instead of moving vertically. Holding the fire button keeps the pressure on, but position and firing angle matter when a boss presents only a small weak spot. Destroying a combined Snakehead helicopter releases bonus items, including stronger fire and improved speed. Shields provide temporary protection, while collecting enough bonuses builds your badge rank. With seven waves and a final confrontation, limited lives and only two continues, learning one vehicle's movement is more useful than expecting both to respond the same way.
