How to Play Silver Surfer

Quick start

Press START at the title for a one-player game. To select two players, use SELECT to open player selection, choose the two-player option, then press START; the players take turns. START also skips the prologue. On the world menu, use Left/Right to cycle choices and START or SELECT to enter. Reptyl or Mephisto is a useful first choice. Move carefully, fire with A and collect F power-ups and orbs without brushing against solid scenery.

Controls

D-pad: move the Surfer; Left/Right cycle the world-selection arrows. A: fire. B: change a collected orb's firing position—below/behind/ahead in side-view stages, or side/behind/ahead in overhead stages. SELECT: use a stocked smart bomb during play; it clears ordinary enemies but not bosses. START: start the game, skip the prologue, and pause/resume gameplay. On the world menu, START or SELECT confirms the highlighted world.

Silver Surfer — About this game

Silver Surfer sends the cosmic hero through hazardous worlds ruled by enemies including Reptyl, Mephisto and Firelord. You can choose the order of the opening worlds, with side-view and overhead sections changing how you navigate and aim. Collect F power-ups to strengthen your shots, gather orbs for supporting fire and use stocked smart bombs when enemies crowd the screen. Precision matters as much as firepower: enemy shots and solid scenery cost a life, and death removes your collected upgrades. Two-player play alternates separate games rather than putting both Surfers on screen together.
