How to Play The Simpsons Game
Quick start
Begin Story mode with Homer’s chocolate-dream opening. Practise moving, jumping and attacking, then collect food and try Homer Ball when available. Later, check which partner’s power can clear the next obstacle before repeating a failed jump.
Controls
Use the directional pad to move and the displayed jump and attack commands. Press A for Homer Ball when available. Use the stylus for Lisa’s object manipulation, Marge’s crowd tasks and touch-screen minigames, following each scene’s prompts.
The Simpsons Game — About this game
The Simpsons Game turns the Simpson family’s discovery that they are in a video game into a series of cartoon platform stages. Different pairings of Homer, Bart, Lisa and Marge use distinct abilities: Homer rolls as a ball, Bart fires a slingshot and glides, Lisa moves objects with the stylus and Marge directs townspeople. Puzzles and combat sit between voiced animated scenes. Between stages, Pet Homer offers comic interactions and story-unlocked items; four separate multiplayer minigames add short diversions on the original DS.
