How to Play The Sims 2: Castaway
Quick start
Begin by finding food and water and preparing somewhere to rest. Collect useful materials and check the journal when another castaway asks for help. Craft the next tool and revisit known locations through the map instead of walking the whole route.
Controls
Tap a destination to move, or tap an object and choose an action. L speeds up movement; the directional pad pans the view. Press X for the map and tap a discovered location to travel. Follow the stylus and microphone prompts in fire-lighting and other activities.
The Sims 2: Castaway — About this game
The Sims 2: Castaway washes your Sim onto a beach after a shipwreck. Find food, fresh water and materials for shelter, then explore beyond the first camp. Other castaways trade useful items for help, opening more areas and resources. Crafting templates turn collected plants, shells and other finds into equipment and furnishings. The DS version combines touch-based exploration with small activities such as lighting fires, catching fish and gathering bugs, while the map lets you revisit discovered areas quickly.
