How to Play The Sims 3
Quick start
Create a Sim and choose a lifetime wish that interests you. Learn the needs and wishes panels, arrange food and rest, then explore a nearby activity or job. Complete a small wish before committing to a timed opportunity.
Controls
Use the touch screen to choose a Sim, object or destination and select an action. Check status and wish icons through the menus. In build and buy modes, choose and place items using the displayed controls; adjust game speed while waiting for longer activities.
The Sims 3 — About this game
The Sims 3 begins by creating a Sim with chosen traits and a lifetime wish. Balance needs such as food, hygiene and rest with work, friendships and trips around town. Everyday wishes and timed opportunities reward money or Lifetime Happiness, which can buy useful perks. The DS version keeps households compact, with up to two Sims, and includes home building and furnishings. Follow clues around the neighbourhood to discover its unusual karma powers while choosing your own routine.
