How to Play Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship

Quick start

Press START to begin. Practise rotating with Left/Right and giving short bursts of B thrust before exploring the caverns. Fire with A to deal with enemies and recover fuel. Bring fuel and valuable objects back to the mothership; turn shields off with Up before approaching cargo so the tractor beam can attach. Keep the return journey in mind because towing reduces thrust. Refuel the mothership fully before seeking the warpship piece through the black warp hole.

Controls

Left/Right rotates the Jetpod counterclockwise/clockwise. A fires; B applies thrust. Down activates acquired shields and Up switches them off. SELECT+A uses equipped optional weapons; SELECT+B engages stronger thrust when boosters are equipped. START begins or pauses play. While paused, SELECT opens the map if you have obtained the mapping device. The tractor beam attaches automatically near cargo, but only with shields off.

Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship — About this game

Solar Jetman combines exploration, shooting and delicate cargo handling. Your small Jetpod rotates before thrusting, and each planet's gravity changes how it handles. The mission is to recover the stolen Golden Warpship's pieces from alien worlds, but collecting them also means gathering enough fuel for the mothership. Valuable finds hang from an automatic tractor beam, reducing your thrust and forcing you to travel without shields while towing. Returning cargo earns the points needed for new weapons and equipment at the trading post. If the pod is destroyed, Jetman can still try to reach the mothership in his spacesuit and receive a replacement. Optional equipment is replenished at the base but lost with the pod, so a cautious return trip can matter as much as a successful battle.
