How to Play Solatorobo: Red the Hunter
Quick start
Choose Start Game and begin a new adventure. The opening sends Red aboard the Hindenburg: follow Chocolat’s instructions and learn to move with the Control Pad, jump with B and grab or throw objects with A. When taught to lift an enemy, press A repeatedly to fill the lift gauge before continuing the throw. Use a save point when one becomes available; it also restores Life.
Controls
Move with the Control Pad and jump with B. While riding Dahak, press B twice to dash; A grabs or throws objects, and repeated A lifts a grabbed enemy. A also talks to characters and searches nearby points. Y gets on or off Dahak and X opens the game menu. In menus, A confirms, B cancels and L/R switch marked pages. START skips cutscenes; it is not the general pause command.
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter — About this game
Red makes his living as a hunter in the Shepherd Republic, traveling between floating islands with Chocolat and his robot Dahak. A job aboard the cargo ship Hindenburg draws him into a much larger adventure. Combat centers on finding an opening to lift an opponent and throw it, sometimes into another enemy or back against an incoming attack. Red can also leave Dahak to reach places the robot cannot use. Town jobs provide money and Hunter Rank progress, while upgrade parts fit into a limited customization grid. The mixture of story quests, exploration and physical puzzle solving gives each new island more to do than simply clear a battle.
