How to Play Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood
Quick start
Begin the first chapter in Green Hill Zone and follow Tails’ tutorial. Collect the rings along the ledge, use the action icons and reach the pier switch to summon the raft. Cross over, practise normal attacks in the armadillo battle and continue south to meet Amy. Follow the objective toward Tails in Central City. Open the field menu to review the Journal, equipment and save option before moving on.
Controls
Hold or drag the stylus toward your destination; touching farther from the character makes them run. Tap action bubbles to talk, jump or interact, or press L/R when an action icon is available. Tap a companion’s portrait to use their field abilities. Open the menu with the flag icon at the lower left and choose the data-screen icon to save. In battle, tap a command and target. Follow POW prompts by tapping circles when they turn green, tracing moving markers or tapping rapidly as shown.

Knuckles has been kidnapped and the Chaos Emeralds are missing, bringing Sonic home to investigate the mysterious Marauders. Build a party of up to four characters and explore routes that depend on their abilities: Sonic dashes through special tracks, Tails crosses gaps and Amy breaks obstacles. Contact with enemies starts a turn-based fight. Choose attacks, items, defense or PP-powered POW Moves, then follow the special move’s touch sequence when the turn arrives. Defending restores some PP as well as reducing damage. Equipment, collected Chao and upgrades give each companion a different role, while conversations and the mission journal guide the investigation.
