How to Play Soul Bubbles
Quick start
Choose PLAY and follow the master's instructions. Hold X and draw a closed circle around the spirits to make their bubble. Release X, then slide the stylus through the bubble in the direction you want it to travel. Practise short, gentle pushes before stronger ones and guide the spirits to the exit; follow later lessons for cutting, joining and shrinking.
Controls
Slide the stylus through a bubble to push it. Hold X and draw a closed circle to create one. Hold A and slide through a bubble to split it; to join two touching bubbles, keep A held and slide from one centre to the other. Hold Y and touch the centre to deflate; keeping contact can pop it. B shows the map and START pauses.
Soul Bubbles — About this game
A young Spirit Herder must escort fragile lost spirits to each level's exit by enclosing them in bubbles. The stylus provides the movement: sliding through a bubble pushes it along, with longer strokes giving more force. Narrow passages call for changing the bubble itself, not just pushing harder. You can cut it into smaller bubbles, shrink an oversized one or join two touching bubbles after a difficult section. The spirits still need protection from the surroundings and enemies, so a safe route matters as much as moving quickly. Continuous blowing also uses the herder's breath, creating a rhythm of short pushes, observation and recovery while the group travels toward safety.
