How to Play Space Hexcite: Maetel Legend EX
Quick start
From the title menu, it's easier to remember the basics by first selecting "Hexite ES", which can be played briefly on a small triangular board. Choose a shape from your pieces and place it on the center reference or on the side of the piece that has already been placed so that the touching sides do not shift halfway. Place the pieces alternately, accumulate the points on the side that touches the bonus of the filled small hexagon, and if you have a high score when neither side can be placed, you win. At the beginning, handle the large hexagons and trapezoids first, and leave the small triangles for gaps at the end. If you want to advance the story, select "Maetel Legend" mode and clear the specified stage to open the OVA sequel demo.
Controls
Use the cross keys to move menu items, pieces, and placement candidates on the board, use the A button to confirm and place them, and the B button to cancel or return to the previous screen. If the board is difficult to distinguish, you can use the R button to display the empty areas blinking. In games where "return one move" is enabled in the option, you can go back to the previous move by pressing the L button. Before placing a piece, make sure that all the touching sides match the existing pieces or the center reference.
