How to Play Space Invaders Extreme
Quick start
Begin Arcade mode at the first stage. Move into a clear firing lane and shoot four invaders of one colour without interrupting the sequence with another colour. Catch the weapon, try holding L or R to save it, and read the objective when a Round begins.
Controls
Use D-pad Left/Right to move the cannon and A or B to shoot. Hold L or R to suspend the current power-up and preserve it for later, then release to use it again. Aim at a red or flashing UFO to enter its Round challenge; completing the objective grants Fever. Keep moving to avoid enemy shots while arranging colour chains.
Space Invaders Extreme — About this game
Space Invaders Extreme keeps the left-right cannon of the arcade original but builds a faster scoring game around it on DS. Four consecutive non-white invaders of one colour drop a weapon, and carefully chosen chains can bring out a flashing UFO that opens a separate Round challenge. Win that challenge and return to the main waves with a brief Fever advantage. Stage scores also influence the later branching route, making accurate targeting useful beyond the current wave. Each stage ends with a boss, so preserving a useful weapon can matter as much as firing continuously.
