How to Play Space Shadow
Quick start
First, let's check whether the environment you are using supports input from Bandai's Hypershot. If it's not compatible, you won't be able to play with just the pad. In the title, switch the selection with SELECT, and start with START. Aim at the enemy, pull the main trigger, and shoot the supply items that appear after defeating them. Once the battle is over, enter the direction to proceed to the next location. Don't keep firing continuously, try to conserve the remaining bullets while intercepting enemy bullets.
Controls
Aim the hyper shot at the screen and fire with the main trigger. If you hold it down, you can fire continuously. Throw a grenade with the auxiliary trigger on the front grip side. After defeating an enemy, use directional input to move forward. Title SELECT changes selection, START starts the game. These are operations using dedicated peripherals, and cannot necessarily be replaced with regular pads or regular Zapper buttons. Please check the usage environment settings for mouse and key assignments.
Space Shadow — About this game
"Space Shadow" is a shooting game for the Famicom compatible with Bandai's exclusive ray gun "Hyper Shot". Defeat the aliens and security robots that appear in the hallway, and finish the battle in that area before moving forward. You can shoot down not only the enemy itself, but also incoming attacks, so it's important to know where you aim. Use machine gun fire and grenades to shoot and collect ammo and recovery items dropped by enemies. Take on the boss of each section and the final strong enemy while keeping in mind your remaining bullets, physical strength, and time limit. This is not a work that can be played with just a regular pad, but the play environment also requires support for aiming, shooting, grenades, and forward input from a dedicated ray gun.
