How to Play Speed Racer
Quick start
Select a driver and begin an Amateur tournament. Practice a lap with acceleration and drifting before adding boost. Approach a rival and follow the Car-Fu prompt, then time the displayed button as the markers meet.
Controls
Steer with the Control Pad; A accelerates, L brakes and drifts, R uses boost and X spins or straightens the car. Follow the displayed X/Y timing prompt in Car-Fu. Touch the lower screen for menu choices.
Speed Racer — About this game
Speed Racer turns the film’s racing world into a DS arcade championship. Driver choice changes how the car accelerates, grips and drifts, so start with handling that suits you. Jumps and aerial tricks help refill boost, while close rivals invite a Car-Fu timing contest that can change the running order. Winning races and entertaining the crowd earns fans toward more unlocks. Learn a circuit before spending all your boost, recover quickly from sideways landings and leave enough time to finish an entire tournament: progress cannot be saved between its races.
