How to Play Speedy Gonzales: Aztec Adventure
Quick start
Choose NEW GAME with Up/Down and press START. Use Left/Right to explore, hold A longer for a farther jump and press B after acquiring a weapon. Watch the remaining time, collect cheese and try a speed sign when a barrier calls for a running impact.
Controls
Left/Right moves and Down looks below where allowed. A jumps, with a longer press travelling farther. B uses the held weapon. START pauses or advances the stage-score screen. Up and SELECT are unused during play.

Holding A changes the distance of a jump, while B uses an acquired weapon. Question-mark boxes can reveal help or open a route, and arrow signs temporarily double Speedy’s pace so he can break certain barriers. Collecting a hundred pieces of cheese within a stage earns an extra try. Defeat the level boss and record the four-number password for later progress.
