How to Play Spelunker II: Yuusha e no Chousen
Quick start
When the title appears, press START twice to go to the initial selection. Select the main character with SELECT and confirm with START. Move the tool cursor using the direction keys, press B to increase the number, press A to decrease it, and press START to depart. First, check the movement and jump of A, then look for keys and supplies in the branching passage. When changing equipment, press SELECT to open the tool screen, select with left and right, and press B to confirm. Be careful of harmless deer and dropped items, and do not attack or collect them needlessly.
Controls
Directional keys left and right: Move/select tool screen. Above: Climb/Go to the inner path. Down: Crouch/descend/proceed to the path in front. A: Jump. B: Use the selected tool or weapon/determine on the tool screen. Down + B: Crouch down and use a tool diagonally downward. A+B: Use of tools while jumping. SELECT: Player selection, in-game tool screen call. START: Decide on selection, start, and pause. In the initial tool selection, the number is +1 for B and -1 for A.

This work expands the range of adventure from treasure-hunting cave exploration to exploring aboveground, underground, and underground ruins. There are three main characters to choose from: an explorer, a cleric, and an esper, and each character has different weapons, special abilities, and the number of tools they can carry when starting out. Collect keys and clues along the branching paths, change your equipment to suit the enemy, and take on the bosses in each region. The objective is not only to defeat the boss, but also to rescue the trapped fairy using fairy stones. In addition to lives, there is a virtue value, and actions such as stealing belongings or hurting harmless deer also affect the outcome of the adventure.
