How to Play Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Quick start
Start a new profile and follow the opening objectives. Practise jumping, swinging and dodging before switching suits. At a silver spider icon, stand over it and press X to save or buy upgrades. Use SELECT to check the map and objectives.
Controls
The Control Pad moves and down crouches; jump toward walls to climb. B jumps and B in the air swings. Y attacks and X interacts. A uses webs in the red suit or dashes in the black suit. L switches suits, R dodges, SELECT shows objectives/map and START pauses. Hold up to zoom out.
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows — About this game
The DS version combines side-scrolling combat with exploration through connected city areas. Spider-Man’s red and black suits have different combat styles: the red suit uses webs while the black suit supplies a dash. Change suits to suit the obstacle or battle rather than treating them as cosmetic choices. Silver spider save points also provide access to upgrades. Allies encountered along the route can assist in boss battles, and running out of health triggers a touch-screen recovery challenge where you remove poison orbs and deliver health orbs. Keep checking the map as new routes become available.
