How to Play SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis
Quick start
Begin the cave section with SpongeBob and Patrick. Practise B jumps with SpongeBob and press B again in the air to double-jump where needed. Switch to Patrick by touch when a heavy block needs pushing, then use his A action. Check the camera slider before a gap and bring both characters to the next safe platform; do not assume the following partner will make every jump without help.
Controls
DS: D-pad moves, B jumps and an additional B gives a double jump for characters that have one. Y attacks; A performs the character's contextual action, such as SpongeBob inflating or Patrick pushing, and X uses a special move. L/R handles partner carrying and throwing actions. Touch the character selection to switch and use the touch-screen camera slider to look left or right.

SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis on DS builds its adventure around two active companions rather than one hero doing every job. SpongeBob can inflate and double-jump, Patrick can push heavy blocks, and other friends bring their own ways to handle obstacles. Switching control matters because a partner may need help reaching the same ledge before the pair can continue. The touch screen selects the active character and pans the view, while the main movement and attacks use buttons. Carrying or throwing a partner creates further ways across gaps. From the opening caves to later regions, the useful question is which member of the pair can solve the obstacle in front of you.
