How to Play SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom
Quick start
Begin the first Bikini Bottom stage and read the portrait signs before moving past a junction. Move one character along the route suited to their ability, activate the switch that opens the partner's passage, then bring the partner through. Use B for jumps and toggle R when following along a simple stretch will help. Keep both characters near the next obstacle rather than sending only one far ahead.
Controls
DS: D-pad moves; B jumps. Double-tap left or right to run, then use B for a longer running jump. R toggles the partner's simple follow behavior. Change the controlled character to use the ability required by portrait signs. For the charged joint attack described in the Amity Park boss encounter, hold Y until the indicator turns red, then release at the opening.

The DS version of Globs of Doom builds its side-scrolling adventure around pairs of heroes and villains working together against invading goo. Both characters need a route through the stage, so leaving one behind can halt progress. Portrait signs point to paths suited to a particular character, and switches open passages for the partner. SpongeBob can ride rising bubbles, while other worlds introduce abilities such as phasing through walls or grappling overhead objects. The R button toggles a simple follow function, but it does not solve the platform puzzles for you. Watching both positions and changing who leads is as important as clearing enemies.
