How to Play Sports Illustrated for Kids Football
Quick start
From the main menu, choose Exhibition and press A to start a four-quarter game. Use Up/Down to select your team and Left/Right to set its skill level, press A, then choose the computer team and its skill level the same way. On each possession, pick a formation with the D-Pad and A, then pick a play with the D-Pad and A. Press B to snap; on a pass play, throw with the receiver's assigned A, B, L, or R button. A higher team-skill number gives better players but also demands more skill from you.
Controls
Menus and play calling use the D-Pad to move and A to select. Quarterback: B hikes the ball, D-Pad moves in the backfield, and after the snap A, B, L, or R passes to the corresponding receiver; Start pauses. Ball carrier: D-Pad runs in eight directions, L or R performs a stiff arm, A spins, and B hurdles. Kicks and punts use B to stop the direction indicator. Defense: before the snap A changes the controlled player; after the snap A switches to the player nearest the ball, and B tackles.
