Play Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy (US edition · English) Online

Press START at the title screen, choose one of the three save slots, and press A; select Story Mode for the main adventure. The opening Dragon Castles section begins with Spyro looking for Crash while Ripto and Cortex join forces. Move right, meet Sparx, Bianca, and Hunter, collect at least 10 gems, then talk to Hunter to learn how portals work. Spend the required gems at the first square portal, Castle Cruisin', and follow its displayed controls—the portal mini-games use different button layouts. Your area goal is to clear each of the five main mini-games once so the end portal opens; later clears raise their difficulty and award more gems or cards. The game auto-saves at appropriate points. Lives are unlimited, but a defeat returns Spyro to the last checkpoint and respawns recent gems and enemies, so bank progress through checkpoints instead of carrying a long unbroken route.

Story stages: Control Pad moves. A jumps; press A again while rising to double-jump, and tap A repeatedly to hover. B breathes fire, or talks when standing beside an NPC. Press A, then L or R, to perform a headbash. START opens the start menu and pauses; SELECT shows the current Sparx health level and gem count. On card screens, L/R scroll through cards; on the game-mode screen, L+R opens code entry. Every portal mini-game can use a different layout, so read the instruction screen shown when a new activity starts rather than assuming the story-stage controls.
