How to Play Sqoon
Quick start
Press START at the title or demonstration screen. Move with the Control Pad, use A against enemies ahead, and aim B's ice balls at the seabed dome. Touch the swimmers it releases to pick them up. Once you have nine aboard, surface beneath the motorized island and press B repeatedly to unload. Catch its energy drop to refill your fuel. Keep planning the next rescue run: a flashing submarine and warning sound mean only twenty seconds of fuel remain.
Controls
Control Pad: move the submarine up, down, left, or right; touching swimmers rescues them. A: fire forward missiles. B: fire the downward ice-ball weapon; at the surface directly beneath the motorized island, press repeatedly to transfer rescued people. START: start from the title or demo, pause during play, and resume.
Sqoon — About this game
Sqoon links side-scrolling combat to a rescue operation. Your submarine fires forward missiles at attackers and ice balls toward installations on the seabed. Breaking a dome releases swimmers, who must be collected before they disappear or fall prey to ocean dangers. The submarine holds nine people, and taking a full load to a small motorized island earns an energy drop. Collecting that supply refills a tank that lasts only sixty seconds, so rescuing people is essential to survival rather than just a source of points. A gold bar plus a survivor can also qualify for replenishment. Successful rescues can improve the forward weapon through two upgrades as the voyage passes different countries toward the North Pole.
