How to Play Steel Empire
Quick start
Stage 1 begins when you press START on the title screen, select your aircraft after viewing the map and explaining the strategy. Etopirika is small and fast, while Zeppelon is slow but has high durability. Advance while dodging airborne enemies, ground guns, and obstacles, collect 3 EXP medals to raise your level by one level, and finally destroy the train boss. It is safe to fire back and forth shots to the side where the enemy appears, and save Imamio Thunder until you are surrounded or for a boss battle. Don't miss out on collecting hearts, bombs, and options.
Controls
Use the cross button to move in 8 directions. The standard layout that can be seen in the GBA version's actual article is the B button for forward shots, the A button for backward shots, and the R button for number-of-time bombs (Imamio Thunder). Since options have multiple operation settings, the front and back of A/B may be swapped depending on the settings you select. Normal shots are unlimited, but bombs consume the remaining number of screens. Independent pose operations could not be confirmed in the GBA materials that could be referenced, so unconfirmed buttons are not listed.
