How to Play Survival Kids
Quick start
Start a new game, choose the boy or girl and enter a name. After the wreck, search the opening beach for the knapsack and equip the knife from its menu. Cut the grass on the right to find the canteen, then clear the route inland. Look for river water, food and the hut area before wandering far. Check your condition regularly and keep useful materials for combining into tools.
Controls
D-pad: move. A: inspect, interact and confirm menu choices. B: use the equipped tool; in menus, cancel. START opens the menu for the knapsack, equipment and other commands. Hold SELECT and press a direction to turn without moving. Equip the knife before using B to cut grass or deal with nearby threats.

Choose a boy or girl and explore the original overhead island adventure. Space in the knapsack is limited, so supplies for immediate survival compete with materials needed for future tools. Cutting grass and examining objects can reveal resources or routes, while combining items creates further possibilities. Keep track of how food affects the child and plan rest before fatigue becomes critical. This is the original handheld Survival Kids, released in Europe as Stranded Kids.
