How to Play Strike Force Hydra
Quick start
At the title screen, choose START GAME; use OPTIONS first if you want Easy or Hard difficulty. Zone 1A immediately puts the Hydra hovership on an upward-scrolling waterway. Move with the Control Pad, hold the two weapon buttons as needed to clear enemy craft and their shots, and watch the health bar at the lower left. Your first stated target is the War-Platform sub-boss: keep moving across the river while firing and destroy the platform to advance. Later middle sections replace shooting with narrow obstacle runs, so prioritise staying over open water there.
Controls
Menus: use the Control Pad to highlight START GAME or OPTIONS and confirm the highlighted choice with A. In play, the Control Pad moves the hovership; A and B fire its two weapon systems, one button per weapon, though the available GBA sources do not identify which button is cannon and which is missile. Start pauses. The game also has separate jump and thrust actions, but their exact GBA shoulder-button assignments were not confirmed by a GBA manual or labelled screen, so they are intentionally omitted rather than inferred from the PlayStation version.
