At the title screen, choose the single-player option, select a DJ and a skill level, then begin Level 1. Move along the bottom of the 9-by-9 playfield and fire coloured bubbles into the advancing lanes. Make horizontal, vertical or depth-wise groups of at least three matching bubbles to pop them; clear the field or collect enough Level Stars to finish the stage. Time-extension bubbles and power-up bubbles can rescue a crowded board, while dead bubbles take several hits, so keep one lane open instead of filling every column evenly.

Use the D-Pad to move the DJ between lanes and to navigate menus. A confirms menu choices and fires a bubble into the selected lane; B activates the current power-up. Start pauses and resumes play. The active power-up is shown on the Torus, while filling the character's colour-energy jar makes that DJ's unique super attack available; watch the on-screen meters before spending either ability.
