How to Play Kung-Fu Heroes

Quick start

At the title, press SELECT to choose a one- or two-player game and START to begin. Use the Control Pad to move around the room and face the approaching enemies. Press A to punch; hold a direction and press B for a Moon Sault Kick that way. Stay clear of holes and ponds, then enter the door once defeating enemies opens it. Try striking the rocks and stones for hidden opportunities, but keep enough room to avoid incoming attacks.

Controls

Control Pad: move up, down, left, or right and set your attack direction. A: punch. B with a direction: perform a Moon Sault Kick in that direction. SELECT: choose one or two players at the title. START: begin, pause, and resume play. In the two-player game, each player uses a controller to act simultaneously.

Kung-Fu Heroes — About this game

Kung-Fu Heroes follows two martial artists into eight enemy castles to recover Princess Min-Min and the land's ten stolen treasures. Each castle contains four rooms, creating thirty-two scenes of close-range fighting, hazards, and hidden opportunities. You can move around the arena rather than being confined to a single side-on lane, lining up punches or using a directional Moon Sault Kick. Defeat the enemies until a door opens, then enter it to continue. Smashing stones and rocks may reveal bonus stages or shortcuts to other castles, so there is more to a room than its visible opponents. Holes, ponds, spears, and gunfire punish careless movement. Play alone or have Jacky and Lee tackle the action together with two controllers.
