How to Play Super Jeopardy!
Quick start
During the opening credits, press START on controller 1. Begin with the Quarter-Final, set the player count and choose whether computer opponents will participate. Use the D-pad and A or B to enter names, finish with END, then select faces. On the board, choose a category left/right and a point value up/down. When you win the buzz-in, move through the letter board, press A for each character and choose END before the timer runs out. Record any advancement code you win.
Controls
D-pad moves through choices, letters and numbers. A confirms response characters and END; B cycles the question opening, such as WHAT IS or WHO IS, during response entry. Setup and clue selections accept A or B. START begins the game. For shared-controller play, contestants 1 and 3 share controller 1: contestant 1 uses its D-pad to buzz, contestant 3 uses A or B. Contestants 2 and 4 use controller 2 in the same arrangement. The original Nintendo Satellite arrangement gives each contestant a separate controller. Use the on-screen left-arrow correction symbol before END to erase a letter.
Super Jeopardy! — About this game
Super Jeopardy! turns the NES quiz into a tournament: win the Quarter-Final to earn a code for the Semi-Final, then qualify for the Final Round. Each match moves through a clue board, Double Jeopardy! and a final wager. You choose categories and point values, ring in, and spell a response on an on-screen letter board before time expires. Correct responses increase your score; mistakes cost points and let the remaining contestants try. Daily Doubles make one contestant risk a chosen amount without competition for that clue. Up to four people can enter the opening stage, while later tournament stages allow at most three. Knowledge matters, but so do careful spelling and deciding when a risky clue is worth attempting.
