How to Play Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet
Quick start
At the cartridge menu, choose a title with SELECT or the D-pad, then press START or A/B. For Mario, select the player mode and press START; move right and use A to jump. In Duck Hunt, SELECT chooses A/B/C and START begins; aim and fire with Zapper input. For Track Meet, SELECT chooses an event and START confirms. Complete any player registration, then use Power Pad input—not Mario's jump button—for the event.
Controls
Mario: left/right move, down crouches when large, A jumps or swims, B runs or fires after a Fire Flower, START pauses/resumes. Duck Hunt: aim the Zapper and pull its trigger; controller 1 START pauses, and its D-pad controls the duck for the second player in Game A. Track Meet: side B Power Pad steps run and jumps trigger the athlete's jumps, except in the 100M Dash. Controller SELECT chooses events/registers letters; D-pad selects entries; A/B move the text cursor right/left; START begins. Track Meet pauses only on specified results/awards screens. Reset returns to the cartridge menu.
Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet — About this game
This US compilation lets you choose between three distinct kinds of play. Super Mario Bros. sends Mario through timed stages of enemies, pits and castles to rescue Princess Toadstool. Duck Hunt offers single-duck, two-duck and clay-target shooting. World Class Track Meet includes the 100M Dash, 110M Hurdles, Long Jump and Triple Jump, plus tournament competition. Their original inputs are not interchangeable: Mario uses a standard controller, Duck Hunt requires Zapper aiming and firing, and the track events use side B of the Power Pad. Emulator support and accessory mappings must be configured separately; an ordinary A/B layout alone does not supply all three control schemes.
