How to Play Super Mario Bros. + Tetris + Nintendo World Cup

Quick start

Choose one of the three games at the compilation screen. In Super Mario Bros., select 1 PLAYER, move right, use A to jump and hold B to run over wider gaps; reach the flag before time expires. In Tetris, begin with Type A at level 0, keep the stack low and leave a vertical gap for the long piece; Left/Right positions a piece, Down speeds its fall and A or B rotates it. In Nintendo World Cup, choose a team, move with the D-pad, pass with A and shoot with B; when defending, use A for a tackle or B for a sliding tackle. Watch teammate and opponent positions instead of chasing the ball with everyone.

Controls

Super Mario Bros.: Left/Right moves; Down crouches powered-up Mario and enters suitable pipes; A jumps or swims, with a longer press producing a higher jump; hold B while moving to run, or press B as Fiery Mario to throw a fireball; START begins or pauses and SELECT chooses one or two players. Tetris: Left/Right moves the falling piece, Down soft-drops it, A rotates clockwise and B counter-clockwise; START pauses, while SELECT toggles the NEXT display during play. Nintendo World Cup: the D-pad moves and aims; on offence A passes and B shoots, while on defence A tackles and B performs a sliding tackle; press A+B while stationary as a pass arrives for a bicycle kick, or while running for a flying headbutt; START pauses.

Super Mario Bros. + Tetris + Nintendo World Cup — About this game

Super Mario Bros. + Tetris + Nintendo World Cup is a European three-game compilation rather than a shortened sampler. Super Mario Bros. sends Mario, or Mario and Luigi in alternating two-player play, across eight worlds of timed platform stages to rescue Princess Toadstool. Tetris offers Type A endurance play and Type B challenges that begin with preset blocks, rewarding clean stacking and completed lines. Nintendo World Cup changes pace with arcade football: choose a national team, tackle opponents, use passes and powerful shots, then win the tournament; two players can compete or cooperate, while compatible four-player hardware expands the match. Each game retains its own rules and controls after selection.
