How to Play Super Scribblenauts
Quick start
Choose Single Player, select an empty profile, enter a name and save it, then open that profile. Follow the tutorial and choose button movement if using the controls below. Move Maxwell to the flag, try jumping and swimming, and complete the lessons on the Notebook and adjectives. Read each prompt before creating an object; enter its name and modifiers, confirm, then drag it into place.
Controls
In button movement mode, left/right on the Control Pad moves Maxwell and Up, B or X jumps; Y/A also move left/right. Drag the stylus over the scene to move the camera. Tap the upper-right Notebook icon to enter words with the keyboard or handwriting and confirm with the green checkmark. Drag objects to position them and tap them for interactions. START pauses. Optional stylus movement mode instead uses buttons to scroll the camera.
Super Scribblenauts — About this game
Maxwell’s notebook returns with adjectives that change the objects you create. Size, color and other properties can turn a familiar tool or creature into a new answer to a puzzle. Many stages ask for a sequence of actions rather than simply a route to a Starite, so reading the objective and watching how objects react matters. The DS sequel also offers direct button movement alongside touch controls, making it easier to keep Maxwell’s movement separate from placing objects. Hints can help when an idea fails, and earned Ollars pay for additional clues. A playground and level creator provide room to experiment beyond the main challenges.
