How to Play Super Turrican
Quick start
From the menu choose Start Game; If it is your first game, enter Options first and leave Skill at 2 or lower it to 1, in addition to choosing between three and five lives. Move with Left/Right, jump with A and shoot with B. Hold B to display the surround beam and rotate it with Left/Right; Use it against suspicious turrets or blocks. Crouching, press START to transform into a wheel: roll through narrow passages and enemies, throw bombs with B and return to normal form with Up. Explore bypasses to find upgrades, shields and diamonds; do not pick up without looking a weapon worse than the one equipped. Save power lines and mega attack for difficult groups or bosses.
Controls
Left/Right walks; As you move forward, B also picks up the pace. Down he crouches Turrican. A jumps and holding it increases the height. B shoots; holding B activates the surround beam, which rotates Left/Right. Down+START transforms into a wheel; In that form B places bombs and Arriba recovers its normal form. START activates a bundle of eight power lines which are then triggered by B. Holding B and pressing START releases the mega attack when the life bar flashes. SELECT pauses and A or B resumes. In the menus you choose Start Game, Options or Highscores; Options adjusts lives, music and difficulty.
Super Turrican — About this game
Super Turrican for NES is a side action adventure different from the Super Nintendo game of the same name. Turrican advances through five worlds divided into large levels with alternate paths, caves, platforms, traps and hidden blocks. Your main weapon changes and improves by collecting shooting icons, while the enveloping beam allows you to attack around the character. It also has a touch-invulnerable wheel, bombs, energy lines, and a powerful full-screen weapon that needs to be recharged. Shields absorb several hits, power icons restore energy, and collecting one hundred diamonds grants one life. The goal is to explore until you find every exit, survive bosses and mechanical armies, and complete the campaign against The Machine.
