How to Play Superman Returns
Quick start
Inspect the city board and head toward an active threat within your movement allowance. Read the mission objective before flying off. Keep an eye on the city’s condition and learn the button prompts during the first boss encounter.
Controls
Move with the directional pad and adjust flight altitude with L/R. Use the touch screen to move the camera and the displayed power commands for the mission. In boss encounters, press the prompted face buttons as they reach the timing mark.
Superman Returns — About this game
Superman Returns combines a board-like city map with brief action missions. Spend your moves reaching threats around Metropolis, then guide Superman through a timed challenge. Unanswered trouble damages the city, so choosing which route and emergency to tackle matters alongside flying and using powers. Boss encounters change the pace with button prompts that must be matched to the rhythm. The DS design asks you to balance the larger map against each immediate task, rather than freely roaming the console version’s open city.
