How to Play Takeshi no Chousenjou

Quick start

Move the main character on the title screen to the left to START, and move to the right to CONTINUE. After starting, walk around the city using left and right, and press up at the entrance to enter buildings and alleys. Investigate people and shops, check their money, physical strength, and qualifications on the SELECT sub-screen, and change the way they speak and attack. There are some scenes where the II controller's microphone input is required to progress, so please check the alternative microphone input in the play environment first.

Controls

D-pad left and right: Move. Above: Standing, entering a building/alley. Bottom: Crouch. A: Attack/Decision. B: Jump/Cancel (adjust height by pressing length, high jump by pressing Down+B). START: Pause. SELECT: Sub-screen that handles money, physical strength, qualifications, termination, speaking, and attack methods. Conversation and karaoke input using the II controller's microphone. If you cannot use the microphone on the actual device, press the bottom + A of the II controller and then use the II controller A as a microphone.

Takeshi no Chousenjou — About this game

``Takeshi's Challenge'' is an action-adventure for the Famicom that takes you from the daily life of an office worker to a treasure hunt with little explanation of the purpose. Walk freely around the city, enter shops and alleys, talk to people, shop, and change your belongings and way of speaking to find the conditions for progression. In addition to tricks such as karaoke that uses the Famicom II controller's microphone, there will also be hang gliding and exploring a southern island. There are many choices that are difficult to notice using common sense procedures, so trial and error and recording are important for this work.
