How to Play 道（TAO）
Quick start
Press A or B at the opening, select PROLOG with SELECT, and press START. When you start from the village of Angolmois, use the cross keys to move around, face people and talk to them using B. Select commands with the cross keys and confirm with A. In battle, place the cursor on "Fight" and press A repeatedly. When you receive a tool, don't forget to read the instructions for its use.
Controls
Cross key: Move, select item. A: Decide on commands, combat items, weapons, etc., and attack with repeated hits when "fight" is selected. B: Conversation/Investigation, Cancellation. When there is nothing available, the command screen will open, and during battle, it will interrupt the attack and move on to selecting an item or weapon, but it may not be accepted depending on the situation. SELECT: Title PROLOG/CONTINUE selection. START: Start of selected mode. The command to return to movement is ``Move'', the status check is ``Go'', and the password display is ``Kyo''.
道（TAO） — About this game
"Tao ~TAO~" is a Famicom RPG in which a boy travels around the country in search of stolen scriptures and encounters various people and teachings. You move on a top-down screen, and when speaking or investigating, you select a single kanji command to act. Let's proceed with the journey by making choices that suit the situation, such as listening to the story with ``words'' and investigating the target with ``view''. Combat is done by repeatedly hitting A in time with ``fight'', but some powerful enemies require special items. Don't miss the explanation of the tools you received and remember how to use them. As the journey progresses, the number of transportation destinations will increase and the range of movement will expand. To restart midway, use the password displayed in ``Kyo''.
