How to Play Target: Renegade

Quick start

Press START at the title screen, then move into the first parking-garage group with the D-pad. Use A for punches and B for kicks; Down+B performs an ankle sweep, while Up+B launches a jump kick. When a usable object is on the ground, stand over it and press Down+A to pick it up. Clear every enemy in the current section before looking for the exit or next route. Avoid being surrounded, use jump kicks to create space, and save weapons for tougher groups and bosses.

Target: Renegade — About this game

Target: Renegade is a single-player NES beat ’em up built around a revenge trip through the city’s roughest territory. Renegade battles gangs in parking garages, downtown streets, a park, and finally the Pigpen bar while pursuing crime boss Mr. Big, who killed his brother Matt. Each section must be cleared before the route opens, and later encounters add armed enemies, environmental hazards, and bosses. Punches and kicks can be combined with directional inputs for sweeps, jump kicks, and varied strikes, while dropped bats, chains, clubs, and other objects provide temporary reach and power.
