How to Play Tecmo Super Bowl
Quick start
Press START, choose PRESEASON with the D-pad and A, then select MAN VS COM and both teams. Time kickoff with A. Start with direction+A for a running play, snap with A, then steer the runner.
Controls
D-pad moves; A confirms, B cancels. Choose runs with direction+A, passes with direction+B. A snaps and cycles receivers; B throws. On defense, A changes players before the snap; B dives. Tap A when grabbed. A alone opens the play window for time-outs, punts and field goals. A kicks; time kickoffs with the distance meter. START displays selected-player data in lineup screens; SELECT is unused.

Tecmo Super Bowl combines direct player control with play-calling across 28 NFL teams. Practice in Preseason, pursue the championship through a 17-week season and playoffs, or play an AFC–NFC Pro Bowl. MAN, COA and COM modes let you play, coach or watch, while season records track your team's progress.
