How to Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project
Quick start
Press START, use SELECT to choose 1 Turtle, 2 Turtles A with friendly fire, or 2 Turtles B without friendly fire, then press START again. On the Turtle screen, move Left or Right and confirm with A. Use B for standard attacks, A to jump, and B in midair for a flying kick. Press A+B together for a powerful character-specific Turbo Move, but save it for bosses or crowded fights because it normally costs one energy unit.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move; on the Turtle Select screen, Left/Right chooses a character. B attacks, A jumps, and B during a jump performs a flying ninja kick. Press Down+B together to grab and toss an enemy. A+B together activates the selected Turtle's Turbo Attack Move, normally consuming one energy unit; it does not consume the final unit. Rapidly tap any button to escape a Mouser bite or Foot Soldier hold. START pauses and resumes play, while SELECT changes the player/friendly-fire mode at the title menu.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project is a one- or two-player side-scrolling brawler in which Shredder and Krang rip Manhattan Island from the ground. Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello fight through eight stages that include a beach, jet surfboards, a battleship, a blimp, the Technodrome, and Krang's spaceship. Each Turtle can strike, jump-kick, grab and toss enemies, and spend one energy unit on a unique Turbo Attack Move. Two-player A mode allows friendly-fire damage, while Two-player B mode disables it, and the game offers up to three continues after Game Over.
