How to Play T2: Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Quick start

Press START, explore Level 1 with Left and Right, use B to punch and A to jump, and drop onto enemies from above for a jumping kick. Find the motorcycle, defeat the boss, and collect the shotgun; B then fires the weapon. During the automatic motorcycle chase in Level 2, steer around hazards and use B to shoot gates and the pursuing truck while protecting John.

Controls

D-pad Left/Right moves; Up enters doors, exits rooms, or boards lifts as required, Down crouches or turns, and diagonals use stairs. A jumps and can damage enemies by landing on them from above. B punches when unarmed and fires the current weapon when armed. START begins and pauses/resumes play and operates lift descent in certain levels; SELECT is unused. On the Level 2 motorcycle, Left/Right steers, B fires, and Down+B shoots backwards.

T2: Terminator 2: Judgment Day — About this game

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a five-level side-scrolling NES action game that follows the film through a series of changing mission objectives. The T-800 first searches a truck stop for a motorcycle and weapon, then rides through the drainage canal to protect John Connor. Later stages require rescuing Sarah from the hospital, planting explosives throughout Cyberdyne, and confronting the T-1000 in the steel mill before luring it towards the molten metal. Doors, lifts, stairs, access cards, bombs, limited ammunition, energy, lives, and continue items all matter, so success depends on exploring each level as well as fighting enemies.
