Press Start at the title screen, choose PLAY GAME on the Main Menu and begin TECH-COM 2032. Walk to the Tech-Com soldier directly ahead for the briefing, collect the grenades he leaves, then follow the Guidance System east. Destroy the first T-1 with the Handgun, take its keycard and head northeast to rescue the commander. The arrow points toward the current objective and the number shows its distance. Select toggles Terminator Vision, which reveals hidden objects and breakable walls but consumes Energy; the blue Energy bar also shields health and slowly recharges. Progress is not saved to the cartridge, so record the five-letter password shown for later missions and enter it through PASSWORD on the Main Menu.

Control Pad: move the Terminator, move the menu selection or steer a vehicle. A: confirm in menus, fire the primary weapon on foot or fire the vehicle weapon. B: cancel or go back in menus, use the secondary weapon, or exit a vehicle. L: cycle movement among Run, Strafe and Walk. R: manage the weapon inventory; while driving, fire missiles. Select: switch Terminator Vision on or off. Start: confirm/start a selection and pause during play. Terminator Vision consumes Energy, so turn it off when its scan is no longer needed.
