How to Play Terra Cresta
Quick start
At the title screen, use SELECT to highlight 1 PLAYER, then press START. Move with the Control Pad and fire with B. Destroy hangars and collect the released ship parts. Once you have combined with a part, check the F symbols at the bottom of the screen and press A to try a formation attack when enemies crowd your path. Learn the standard formation first; choose DESIGN from the title screen when you want to edit its layout.
Controls
Control Pad: move in eight directions. B: fire the cannon beam. A: split your combined ship into an attack formation while F uses remain. SELECT: cycle through 1 PLAYER, 2 PLAYERS and DESIGN at the title. START: begin the selected mode; pause or resume during play. In DESIGN, choose a player's formation with SELECT and confirm with START. On SHIP LOCATION, A selects a fighter and the Control Pad positions it; SELECT opens BEAM DIRECTION. There, A selects a fighter and B cycles its eight firing directions. SELECT returns to positioning; START returns to the title.
Terra Cresta — About this game
Terra Cresta builds its shooting action around a fighter that grows as you rescue additional ship parts from enemy hangars. Each recovered section changes your options, adding stronger forward fire, rear shots, piercing fire or a protective rear barrier. You can also separate the combined craft into a formation, trading a limited stock of attacks for a wider firing pattern. Gathering all five fighters automatically produces the Fire Bird transformation. The DESIGN option lets you arrange the five ships and set their firing directions, so preparing a formation is part of the challenge as well as dodging and shooting.
